Do I need a fishing license?
No. The boat is fully licensed, and all passengers are covered with the daily fare.
How should I dress?
Dress in layers and plan for cooler temperatures on the water—it’s usually 10–15 degrees colder than on land. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and sturdy, non‑slip footwear like rubber boots help keep everyone comfortable and safe during the trip.
Is alcohol allowed?
Beer is welcome in moderation, but hard alcohol isn’t permitted on board. We have a zero‑tolerance policy for anyone who is drunk or visibly intoxicated. We’re a family‑friendly vessel, and keeping a safe, comfortable atmosphere for all ages is always our priority.
What is the boat’s drug policy?
We are a 100% drug‑free vessel, and no illegal substances of any kind are permitted on board. As a federally regulated vessel, we strictly enforce this policy with no exceptions to ensure a safe, lawful, and family‑friendly environment for all guests.
Will I get seasick?
Going on a boat does risk the chance of seasickness. However, the Miss Belle is a stable a boat, designed to move less. The design specifically decreases your chances of seasickness. If you are prone to seasickness, please take your anti-seasick medicine roughly an hour before departure.
Can I bring my own fishing gear?
If you have a favorite fishing pole, feel free to bring it along. And if you’re not sure whether your gear is the right fit, just bring it anyway—our crew in the parking lot or on the dock will happily take a look and let you know if it’ll work or if you might want to rent. We do ask that each person bring no more than two rods, since space on the boat is limited.
Does the boat have a toilet?
Yes! A very common question. We do have a toilet on board for all passengers to use.
Can I bring my kids?
We’re a family‑friendly fishing boat, and our four‑hour and half‑day trips on the Miss Belle are perfect for families with young children. We want everyone—especially first‑timers—to enjoy the excitement of deep‑sea fishing on a large, comfortable boat and have a real chance to catch fish. One of our favorite moments is seeing a child bring in the biggest catch of the day!
Should I trip? Is gratuity included?
Gratuity is not included. Our mates work a demanding, seven‑day‑a‑week seasonal job and consistently go the extra mile for your trip. They rely on tips. If the crew served you well, a 10–20% tip is customary and appreciated.
